Opening in the 1930s, Kingsway Veterinary Group operated from premises in Newmarket Street until, in 1984, ongoing expansion necessitated a move to these purpose built premises on Otley Road - complete with excellent parking facilities. Situated on the edge of Skipton, a number of nearby taxi firms are happy to transport owners and pets to and from the surgery and we have a ramp to the front of the building allowing easy access.

Further expansion in 1992 involved the opening of our branch surgery at Silsdenin order to cater specifically for the needs of clients in that area. Recently refurbished to a high standard, these premises house vets who are members of the Skipton team and who are able to offer consultations here. Any further diagnostic investigation or surgery is carried out at Skipton and, if necessary, the animal can be transported in our Practice ‘Ambulance’.

In 2004 it became the turn of Cross Hillsto benefit as the result of a newly refurbished Kingsway surgery. Covered on a rota basis by Skipton vets, Cross Hills has excellent surgical facilities well capable of dealing with routine operations such as neutering. Planning regulations though mean that animals cannot be housed here overnight. Consequently more complex procedures are carried out at Skipton.

In addition, during the week, we are happy to visit your pet at home (please call before 11am) but of course more complete care is available here at the surgery. Our team of qualified nurses run appointments for clipping claws, stitch removal, bandage changes, dental check-ups, rabbit clinics, advice on diet and behaviour, weight and geriatric clinics.
