Katie Illingworth graduated in 2003 from Edinburgh Vet school and worked for two years in Leyburn, four in a large small animal hospital in Swindon and then led the surgical team at a thirty vet practice covering the whole of Bristol. During this time she gained both the GP certificate in small animal practice and the RCVS Certificate in soft tissue surgery. She returned home to Yorkshire and joined Kingsway Vets in 2012. She is passionate about providing a good standard of veterinary care in soft tissue surgery especially as part of tumour / cancer care and brachycephalic airway surgery. She is also a Kennel Club Respiratory Function Grader for brachycephalics. Katie is married with 2 young sons and has a cat and a crazy boxer dog. Outside of work she enjoys walking, gardening, pilates, sewing, rugby and spending time with her family.
